      TEMP FLASH Flash Flotation Cells

Used for processing of materials containing lead (Pb), zink (Zn), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), gold (Au), silver (Ag), platinum (Pt) in the comminution and classification circuit.

TEMP FLASH flash flotation cells are used to maximize cost-efficiency of the comminution circuit.

      • Instant flotation of mineral particles liberated from the circulating load in the comminution circuit
      • Increased target metal recovery
      • Efficient recovery of particles with P80 size varying between 50 and 800 µm
      • Increased efficiency
      • Reduced oversludging of valuable minerals
      • Improved quality of concentrate
      • Reduced water content in the comminution circuit
      • Ore processing efficiency between 80 and 1,800 tph

      Operation Principle

TEMP FLASH flotation cells are integrated in the comminution circuit for processing of cyclone underflow. Liberated particles are floated and separated from the recirculation flow of the comminution circuit inside the cell. The TEMP FLASH cell concentrate may be the final product and directed to the following process stages. Tailings are usually returned to the mill.

      Single- or Double-stage Process

In the conventional flash flotation circuit, TEMP FLASH operates independently as part of a single stage. The single-stage process may be either recovery- or quality-controlled.

In the double-stage process, the TEMP FLASH flotation cells is used as a rougher flotation stage to obtain the concentrate with reduced content of elements and increased recovery while the TEMP CELL flotation cells is used for cleaner flotation in order to obtain the required concentrate quality.

      Double-yield Technology

The TEMP FLASH double-yield technology optimizes operation of the comminution circuit with maximized production efficiency and minimized effect on water balance. Double yield allows to control density of the comminution circuit feed. As a result the solid content in the mill feed is maintained at the required level.

Recovery of Valuable Minerals in Comminution Circuit

The TEMP FLASH flotation cell is designed for flotation as part of the comminution circuit for processing of cyclone underflow where heavy minerals are concentrated.

The flotation cell allows to recover a significant amount of valuable minerals as part of the comminution circuit providing more stable feed for the conventional flotation circuit as a result, which in turn leads to increase of production efficiency and improves process control. Besides, as a result of the TEMP FLASH flotation cell product control, mill efficiency increases and the de-watering characteristics are improved since the final concentrate becomes coarser.

      Major Advantages of TEMP FLASH

      • Minimized overgrinding
The cell allows to recover valuable liberated particles from the circulating load of the comminution circuit with the particles remaining rather large. These particles do not undergo further grinding and are not fed to the main flotation circuit in the form of slurry particles.
      • Increased production efficiency of the mills
Alongside with flotation improvements, it's possible to increase production efficiency of the grinding mill by controlling density of flash flotation cell underflow.

      • Improved de-watering
De-watering is improved thanks to no concentrate overgrinding.

      • Increasing total recovery

The cell promotes recovery of a significant amount of commercial minerals, which increases stability of feeding of the conventional flotation circuit. This allows to increase production efficiency and to improve control of the existing flotation technology.

      • Maintenance

We offer quick and high-quality maintenance service to provide high production reliability. Our service specialists are ready to provide assistance in any and all regions where ore is mined and produced.
